For Your Consideration: Vérité

As someone who listens to music quite a bit, I’m always trying to find a new type of song or singer that I’m not familiar with. I’ve been asked by family members to recommend upcoming artists or songs “before they get big.” Hopefully that’s what this article will do for you.
If you don’t recognize the name “Vérité,” don’t be surprised—despite her over half-a-decade career so far, she hasn’t achieved the same widespread popularity as the names you do know. But that’s changing fast. Here’s your chance to get in early.
Today, October 25, 2019, Vérité is releasing her second album, new skin. You can listen to it on Apple Music, Spotify, or YouTube. But wait! Before you go, let me give you a bit more of a primer on Vérité and her work.
She’s been making music for the most part of her life, so song creation and release was a natural step in her personal artistic evolution. After garnering attention in throughout 2013 and 2014 for her earliest songs, and later releasing 3 EPs, she began work on a debut album, Somewhere in Between.
By this point, she had been well-known in more tightly-knit circles for some time, but Somewhere in Between earned her that first entry into the public consciousness that so many are looking for.
So if you want to start further back in the Vérité discography, consider Somewhere in Between: it’s also on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube. My personal recommendations are “Need Nothing”, “Solutions”, and “Control.”
But now, just over 1,000 days after Somewhere in Between, she’s back with new skin, and you’ve got the opportunity to be among the first to hear it. Here are those links I promised.
